Brilliant. Beautiful. Engaging. Funny. And that voice! What a magical night at Air Canada Centre in Toronto with Adele!
I knew it would be special thanks to our row 4 left floor seats. The moment we arrived we realized it was even better than that! These seats were basically row 2 thanks to her pointed stage. How did I get these seats? Fan club pre-sale code, luck and karma.
We were so close to the stage we had several great moments where it felt like she was singing straight to us. Spectacular.
Adele had the entire audience captivated from the first note. She is a powerhouse!
She interacts with the audience more than I have ever seen from an artist, explaining she has stage fright and talking with the audience and getting to know them helps her. She talked to and pulled a few very lucky people on stage, and told stories of lost love, her 10 year anniversary of her record label signing deal a day ago, and her happiness with her life and son now.
Adele is wildly funny, and opened the night saying the show would be “boring” because of all of the slow songs and she had to get in a few laughs so the audience wouldn’t be bored. Hardly! The two hour show was a blast from end to end and felt like it was over in a flash.
The show ended with confetti from the sky, each with a copy of an Adele hand written note. Keepsakes for me. Did I say brilliant?
