Sometimes, you just want something quick and easy and not too far away. We heard great things about the pizzas and beer at Bad Tattoo Brewing Company, and it is a half a block from our Penticton condo near the beach, and it seemed perfect for a rainy saturday.
Every time we walked by Bad Tattoo over the past few days, it has been packed (inside and on the very large main floor patio outside). A busy restaurant is always a good sign.
When we arrived, we were seated on the patio. We noticed right away the interesting plating – a large tin with a cork board on top (for the pizza to sit on). The menu is basically pizza and not pizza… some salads and a whole bunch of pizzas to choose from, and all of their craft beers.
We decided to share a Calabrese pizza (salami, artichokes, olives, sweet onion, sun dried tomato and provolone) and a caprase salad. Really hit the spot on a cool day! I can see us coming back before the end of this trip!
It was day before triathlon, so Dave wasn’t partaking in beer. But, we figured someone had to try the beer, so I chose the award winning Los Muertos Cerveza Negra. It was a great amber ale with a hint of lime – so great we bought a six pack on our way out the door!
