Another day, another lunch out in downtown Regina! This time, I chose Crave Kitchen and Wine Bar, an old favourite. I enjoy the menu and the ambience and come here for lunch often.
I am still on my salad kick, so a fresh and light Caprese Salad was in order. There is something about fresh tomatoes, olive oil, cheese and basil that always brightens my day. Crave adds some balsamic vinegar and pesto to their take on Caprese and I enjoyed every bite. It was also beautiful to look at.
My lunch partner chose the Steak Frites and she raved about it. The steak was cooked perfectly to her liking and the gravy was very flavourful. It also looked lovely from my perspective across the table. The size of this smaller plate was the perfect serving for lunch, or if paired with a starter for dinner.
Crave is an old stand by for me because its consistent with its flavours and quick service … this lunch was no exception.
