After an extremely cramped Vueling flight from Barcelona (Dave’s knees were right up against the seat in front of him.. thank goodness it was a one hour flight), we arrived at our Nice hotel around 11 p.m.
We are staying at the Hotel Suisse, right on the corner of the Promenade Des Anglais with a wonderful view of the beach, the sea and the entire Bay Area. As soon as we arrived, we laughed at the cramped little old elevator that we had to squish into to get up to our 5th floor (top) room.
We we greeted by a small but lovely room, and a gorgeous view and a bottle of champagne to recognize our honeymoon! We had a lovely night sitting out on the terrace and watching the bustling traffic below. I am happy we are on the top floor, and the glass doors are really soundproof! Impressed at the very little noise that gets through.
This morning, we are enjoying an espresso on the terrace – I think we will be spending a lot more time out here during our stay!
David was so happy to just get outside and run this morning (while I blogged, of course). If you look closely, you can see David running just above the Castel beach club sign (another thing we need to do during this trip).
Time to explore!
