Dave and I just got off a fabulous Air Canada flight from Tokyo to Vancouver, after upgrading to business class! WOW. Pods are amazing.
We both slept very well, as you would expect. I never sleep on planes, so this is a mini miracle for me!! Being able to lie down and put your feet up makes all the difference in the world. It was pretty amazing.
We found something new every 10 minutes, and we were giggling and acting like little kids. It was so fun! Did you know that you can adjust your headrest and lumbar support in business class seats? Really great.
The service and the food was equally first class. We both started with an appetizer of smoked tuna that was as good as anything I’ve had in a restaurant.
For dinner, I chose the chicken and Dave chose the fish. Both were delicious, and followed by a cheese and dessert course.
After our amazing 3-4 hour sleep, we awoke to breakfast service (Dave at the end of service, he was snoozing so hard). I wasn’t too hungry, but had some omelette and Dave had some paella.
This experience was AMAZING! It wasn’t cheap, we did have to upgrade for a fee. But, it was considerably less than the cost of a business class ticket purchased up front.
I am feeling fortunate as I wait for my connecting flight home. Not that long ago, a trip to Tokyo and a business class flight were completely out of reach. I am grateful for the opportunties that hard work has given me… and so lucky to be in a position to see so many of my dreams come true!
