Julianne adopted an olive tree in Italy for my birthday. A couple of times a year they send you the fruits of your harvest. I got three little cans of olive oil. All of them are extra virgin olive oil. The first one contains oil with Sicilian chillies, the send with lemon and the third has stone ground garlic. There are a few recipe ideas to try for each of them so I might give those a whirl.
My particular tree lives in the Il Taccalito grove on the Easter coast of central Italy. It’s 53 years old. The package I received this fall was the first. A second shipment of extra virgin olive oil will come in the spring.
This stuff is pretty good. The spouts on the containers are small and that makes it easy to drizzle over food.
