Saskatoon is beautiful in the spring, and its lovely to be here for the May long weekend! I am biased though, as I grew up in this lovely city of bridges. It’s always wonderful to return home and visit my family.
We arrived yesterday for some much-needed rest and relaxation, and have already packed in some great activities! After a quick touch-base with my family, we checked into our boutique hotel, The James. We decided to spoil ourselves a bit on this little trip, and so far, so good! Other than the annoying wedding party that was checking in when we were (and insisting that they deserved “the best of the best”… but apparently not willing to pay for it!), the hotel is as gorgeous as we hoped it would be. More to come on the hotel soon.
Next stop, TusQ restaurant downtown near our hotel. Fantastic meal that we will properly review later!
Finally, we decided to unwind with a cocktail (or two) at the Sheraton 6Twelve lounge next door. Dave loves classic bourbon cocktails and he found a new one to try his mixologist skills on at home!
Proper reviews to follow… but it’s already been a fantastic trip (in under 24 hours!).
