One of the great things about Hide Awhile on the cliffs of Negril, is the sister property Idle Awhile on the beach. It truly is the best of both worlds.
We get the quiet and seclusion of the cliffs, with easy access to the beach (a 20 minute car ride). The free hotel shuttle takes us there each morning at 11 a.m. and back to the cliffs at 4 p.m.
We couldn’t wait to get back to the beach on our first day. The sand is the softest I have ever encountered, and the water is wonderful (even on a very windy day – the big waves made it pretty fun).
I am a bit lazy on this trip – so if you want to see our earlier review of this property – check out our blog post from a couple of years ago.
We had an amazing lunch – my jerk snapper was a big surprise. I don’t usually love capers, but these really made the dish. Dave’s jerk chicken burger was also a big hit.
Ah, Negril. How we love you!
