David and I landed in Las Vegas yesterday, and also landed in the lap of luxury! We are choosing the “anti-Vegas” experience this time around. And boy, Mandarin Oriental has delivered!
I’ll do a blog eventually all about what this wonderful hotel has to offer, but for now, here is a glimpse.
The Asian aesthetic and Japanese accents all over the hotel are wonderfully calming after the hustle and bustle of the strip. The Mandarin Oriental is nestled into the Aria and Crystal Shops complex, but is wonderfully quiet and a no-casino hotel.
We lucked out to a package deal on a junior suite, and were upgraded (without a fee) to a city view suite. We can watch planes land from our floor to ceiling windows, and see the sunrise. It’s lovely.
The best part may just be the bathroom. Check out this amazing tub with a view! The bath salts were divine.
We almost never order room service, but since our package came with a breakfast credit, we decided to treat ourselves. Was it worth it! The table came wheeling in and our server set a beautiful table for us. David’s Japanese bento box was delightfully delicious, and my tofu scramble and detox juice was fabulous.
This hotel and service is really delivering for us. Next stop, book a spa service in the 5 star spa!
