Main square in Lisbon, heading out to the sea in the distance

After a lot of thought and work schedule shifting and consideration… the winner for my “P” trip in the fall is… Portugal!

I’m quite excited about this trip! It will be a nice getaway, to a part of the world I fell in love with way back in 2004. I was in Lisbon for two days, and loved the sea air, warm people and fantastic seafood. I need to book travel around busy times at work, and the Sept. 26 – Oct. 7 time period is perfect for me. Plus, it just feels right, and my gut never steers me wrong!

I choose to travel with tours a lot, because I often travel alone. It gives me the peace of mind that I can be with people for a good part of the journey, but also wander off on my own whenever the inspiration hits (which is often!). I have chosen a tour company I have travelled with before – Broad Escapes.

This “women only” tour company is based out of London, Ontario. I can’t say enough good things about them. Great service, wonderful choices of hotels and itineraries that really work for women (good food, good wine and always time for shopping!). I personally enjoy travelling with like-minded women in small groups, rather than trying to fit in with a large group of much older couples. I’m really looking forward to the next group of adventurous women I will meet.

If you want to take a peak at my itinerary, or learn more about Broad Escapes – check this out.

So… Portugal in September… has a great ring to it!
