Just a few hours in, and our trip to Vancouver is already blessed! It’s also a really great travel tip – keep your eye out for upgrades, and always say yes if you are offered one that gives you something special for just a fraction of the price it would normally cost.
Check in early online 24 hours before your flight. Often, you will get a chance for an upgrade if business class isn’t fully filled on the flight (and it really pays off if you got a great seat sale like we did). David and I are traveling on Mother’s Day, and as it turns out, not a lot of people are mid-transit on this day. Our flight had lots of empty spaces, and for $50 extra, we got Plus seats on Westjet. Hello extra seat between us, tons of leg room and free booze and snacks!
When we arrived in Vancouver, we also got offered an upgrade at the Four Seasons hotel. David got an amazing deal on a standard hotel, and for $60 extra a night, we are now in a junior suite on a higher floor with a great view!
Overall, we have lucked into a much fancier start to our trip, and we’re already having a ball!
