Vancouver promises a lot of hip cool places to stop for a drink. We made sure Uva Wine and Cocktail Bar was on our list to visit, because it is well known for creative cocktails.
Uva is part of the Moda hotel, and as we visited in the late afternoon, it was bright and white! I really liked the decor here, and the bartenders were great to chat with to help us decide what to order.
I had a hard time deciding what to order on the extensive cocktail list, so I chose the Bubbles flight. So much fun to have a tasting of three different kinds of sparkling bubbly wine! From left to right, it progressed from a Prosecco, to a Gamay and finally a Rosé. Great for a moment of indecision!
David had two drinks here.. starting with a a Middle Earth (rye, white vermouth and rosso, balsam fir, orange and juniper bitters) and moving on to a Cricket Old Fashioned (rum, coconut sugar, plum and rooter bitters). The Cricket Old Fashioned was his favourite (and very original).
Uva is a great stop for interesting drinks and great conversation!
