“And now let us believe in a long year that is given to us, new, untouched, full of things that have never been.” – Rainer Maria Rilke
As I look ahead to 2013, I automatically begin to compile my travel wish list. It will follow an amazing year, where I had the pleasure of visiting such diverse countries as Jamaica, Vietnam and Cambodia. At this point, I don’t have plans for a really big trip (yet), but I do have several smaller trips to look forward to (and blog about!):
– I am off for a mini-family reunion in Toronto, Ontario in mid-January, and looking forward to staying in a condo near the harbour front.
– To top off a busy January, I am planning a trip to Edmonton, Alberta on the 21st to see Oprah! Thanks to my sweetie, Dave, for that amazing Christmas gift!
– Dave and I will spend a glorious week in Penticton, BC in August as he races the Ironman. I love this trip because we also visit lots of wineries and eat amazing and fresh food everywhere we go.
That short list leaves a lot of space for yet unplanned journeys, and I look forward to researching ideas and jumping on unexpected opportunities!
What about you? Where in the world are you planning to go in 2013?
